Join Joe Griffith for WordPress 101 PLUS to make it fast and easy and hands on! See more specific details below.

THE +PLUS TO THIS WORKSHOP is it works on two tracks, two speeds, all for newbies, but also a little faster for the keeners in the group. You will also have follow along handouts and modules for easy learning.

This workshop requires you to:

  • Bring your laptop (fully charged)
  • NOT necessary to have already downloaded the free and basic WordPress open source software at http://wordpress.org/download/ but beneficial if you do.
  • NOT necessary to have a domain name with all your passwords and full administrative access (so you can work on the site), but beneficial if you do.

WordPress 101 plus is for freelancers, consultants, and small business owners, entrepreneurs, authors and speakers who have limited knowledge about how WordPress works; and want to get the most out of their WordPress-powered website without getting into all the techie details.
Prerequisite
You must have a fully charged laptop that is WiFi enabled. You should have WordPress already installed on your hosting service. You should have full access to your site and be able to manage it. If you do not have hosting, or you do not have WordPress already installed, don’t worry we have a solution.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
Part l
We’ll review each of the features in the administration area, so you can get comfortable navigating your way around the dashboard. Areas include weird stuff like: Posts, Media, Links, Pages, Comments, Appearance, Plugins, Users, Tools
and the Settings area. And yes, even though I promise to keep the techie jargon to a minimum, we’ll need to
learn some basic terminology — after all, what the heck is a plugin anyway?
Part ll
In this part you’ll start adding content to your site with pages and images. You’ll learn the difference between posts & pages, and a blog & a website.
Part lll
I’ll bring several plugins (if you don’t what these are yet… that’s ok, by the time you get here in the course, you will know) for you to install on your WordPress site.

He now owns a successful web design studio, Joey Rebar Designs, that specializes in working with solopreneurs to design and build affordable websites in WordPress, helping them make more money. Joe doesn’t use a lot of techie talk, but provides great instruction on how to use WordPress, basics.
